Bracketline Privacy Policy
Effective date: 2 October 2026
Bracketline is an Android app for creating and scoring tournament brackets. This policy explains how information is handled when you use the app. For privacy questions, contact ecomguide57@gmail.com.
Tournament information
You can enter tournament names, participant names, match scores, and results. Bracketline stores this information on your device so your brackets work offline. Bracketline does not require an account and does not operate a server that syncs your tournaments.
Changes to a tournament are saved on your device. You can export a JSON backup or share a bracket PNG through Android's file and sharing features. You choose where to save or send those files. An imported backup becomes a separate tournament; it does not replace an existing one.
Advertising information
Bracketline uses Google AdMob to show interstitial ads outside the scoring flow. When ads are available and permitted, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect and share data such as your IP address, app interactions, diagnostic information, and device or account identifiers. Google uses this information for advertising, measurement, and fraud prevention. The ad SDK may transmit this data to Google and its advertising partners according to their policies. Google's privacy policy provides more information.
Where required, the app requests an ad consent choice before loading ads. An Ad privacy control on the tournament list opens Google's privacy options when a form is required and available. If ads cannot load, you can still create and manage brackets.
Retention, deletion, and security
Tournaments remain in the app's local database until you delete them or remove the app, subject to Android device backup settings. You can delete a tournament from its options menu. Backups and images that you exported or shared remain wherever you saved or sent them; deleting the in-app tournament does not delete those copies.
Bracketline does not transmit your tournament names or scores to a Bracketline server. Google states that data collected by the Google Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit. Data handled by Google is subject to Google's own retention and deletion practices.
Changes to this policy
If the app's data practices change, this policy will be updated with a new effective date. The current version will be available through the app and its Google Play listing.
